The real name of Enya is Eithne Padraigin Ni Bhraonain. She was born in May 1961, in Gweedore, Ireland. She is the daughter of Maire Brennan and Leo Brennan. Her father was in the Irish showband called Slieve Foy Band. She was later anglicised as Enya Patricia Brennan. She has eight siblings.
