Born to Katie Winokur as Edwin John Fisher, Eddie was the fourth child in the family. He was born in 1928, in Philadelphia and had six other siblings. His father, Joseph Tisch was a Russian immigrant. Although the family was named as the “Tischs”, they later changed it to “Fisher”.
