Barbra Streisand was born on April 24, 1942, in New York to a Jewish family. Streisand had her school education in Brooklyn at the Jewish Orthodox Yeshiva and Public School 89. During her school days, she watched movies and dreamt of becoming an actress and also practiced singing.
