Andrea Bocelli was born on 22nd September in the year 1958 to his parents known as Edi Bocelli and Alessandro. He was to be aborted following his mother receiving advises from people to abort him while she was pregnant. However, she refused and insisted on giving birth to him. His family was not well established at the point in which they sold the farm machinery and wine for a living. He then lost his sight while he was at the age of 12 years after suffering from Congenital Glaucoma during a sporting accident.
In his early childhood, he got much interest in music from which he learned different musical instruments at his young age. While at the age of 7 years, he used to recognize different voices of great singers and made a trial of singing like them that led him in participating in some competitions. He completed schooling in 1980 after which he joined the University of Pisa where he studied law.
