If you don’t live under a rock and has attended school, then I don’t think I need to give any formal introduction to this great man. You might have spent sleepless nights to learn his complex theories but still would not have understood. Today, let’s have a close look at the career, biography, and net worth of Albert Einstein.
Early Life & Biography:
Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany on March 14, 1879, to Pauline Koch and Herrmann Einstein. He grew up in Munich where his father was an engineer and a part-time salesman while his mother was a homemaker. Einstein belonged to a Jewish family, and because of the communal tension in the country, their family had to move from one place to other.
He completed his schooling from the Luitpold Gymnasium in Germany. Later, Einstein shifted to Switzerland with his family in where he completed his education. The couple divorced in 1919 when his wife found that he was in a relationship with other women. Later Einstein married Elsa Loewenthal, and the couple was together until his wife died in 1932.
Career, Awards & Nominations:
Albert Einstein was interested in Physics and Science since he was a child. At the age of 12, he created his own proof of the Pythagoras Theorem. He developed the theory of relativity in 1905 which is considered one of the two pillars of modern physics along with quantum mechanics. Einstein is best known for creating the famous mass-energy equivalence equation “E = mc2”. He also discovered the law of the photoelectric effect, zero-point energy, quantized atomic vibrations, Brownian Movement, special theory of relativity and many others.
Einstein has received several awards in his scientific career including the Nobel Prize in Physics in the year 1921 for his work on the law of the photoelectric effect. He has also been awarded the Copley Medal, Franklin Medal, Barnard Medal and many more. In 1955, the chemical element 99 was named “einsteinium” in order to honor his work towards science.
Net Worth & Earnings:
Albert Einstein had an estimated net worth of more than $1 million at the time of his death. This may sound very low now, but in his era, it was a huge sum of money. There are several institutes and public places which are named after him including the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Albert Einstein Science Park which is located in Germany.
Many awards are also named after him including the Albert Einstein Award which is given to award high achievement in the natural sciences and the Albert Einstein Peace Prize in which the winner receives a sum of $50,000.
Albert Einstein was one of the greatest physicists and scientists to be ever born on this planet. His contributions and inventions to modern science were phenomenal, and he will be forever remembered through his works.
