Early Life & Biography
Ted Nugent was born on 13th December 1948 in Redford, Michigan. His parents were Warren Nugent and Marion Dorothy. He had three siblings by the name John, Jeffrey and Kathy. He began playing music while at the age of 6 years in which in the age of 14, he had formed his own band known as the Lourds which from their strength in Michigan State Fair 1964 performance opened an opportunity for opening for the Supremes and the Beau Brummels. He later moved to Chicago
Ted Nugent studied at St. Viator High School and later joined William Fremd High School from which he formed his first music band. He graduated from William Fremd High School in 1967 then returned to Detroit. In Detroit, he began recruitment of new members to the Amboy Dukes which saw in the success of the band in a great way.

He tied knots with Sandra Janowski on 30th January 1971 but later separated on their divorce on 31st December 1979. Ted Nugent then married a second time on which he married Shemane Deziel who they have got two children. In 1964, Ted Nugent formed a band together with other musicians such as Gary Hicks, Bob Lehnert, and Dick Treat known as Amboy Dukes which they used to perform in clubs. They covered the rock genres such as acid rock, heavy metal, and hard rock. They released their first album known as The Amboy Dukes in 1967, Journey to the Center of the Mind in 1968 with other two new members, Migration in 1969 which came along with several reshuffles and in the 1970s, they released other albums including Survival of the Fittest Live, Tooth Fang and Claw, Call of the Wild.
Due to the increased number of changes in the band, Nugent became exhausted and left the band to move to a solo career in 1975 from which he recruited Rob Grange, Derek St. Holmes, and Clifford Davies. He then produced a solo album in the same year which was a success. He then produced a second album in 1976 known as Free for All, Cat Scratch Fever in 1977, Weekend Warriors in 1978 which were a success being received well by the public.
Other albums include Scream Dream, Nugent, Penetrator, and Damn Yankees. He has also written several books on hunting. He has also been nominated and awarded some awards such as the Fan Favorite Best Host Award in the 13th Annual Golden Moose Awards in 2013.
