On 18th June 1981, it was all joy in one conservative Jewish Family as they celebrated the arrival of their strong and handsome son whom they named Scott Samuel. Braun’s parents were known as Ervin(father) and Susan(mother) and they lived in Hungary until 1956 when they left and moved to the United States.

Ervin was lucky enough to grow up in Queens and was educated and became a dentist while his wife Susan Schlussel was an orthodontist. When they met and decided to live together as a couple, they settled in Greenwich Connecticut. They were blessed with five children which are; Cornelio, Liza, Sam, Adam and now Scooter.

When Scooter was born, his parents lived in Cos Cob, Connecticut and this is where he spent his childhood. He attended Greenwich High School where he started developing his leadership skills when he was appointed the class president. He was a member of Amateur Athletic Union where he played basketball for 5 continuous years (i.e from 13 to 18 years of age).

After clearing from High School, Braun joined Emory University in Atlanta and continued his basketball skills by joining the college basketball team until his Sophomore year. Braun started dating Yael Cohen who is the founder of Fuck Cancer, health activist and philanthropist. The officiated their union on 6th July 2014 in Whistler, British Columbia. The couple was blessed with a son on 6th February 2015 who they named Jagger Joseph Braun, and one year later on November 29th, 2016, they were blessed with their second child Levi Magnus Braun.

Braun started his career when he was still in Emory University in Atlanta. He started by organizing small parties but in 2002, he was hired to plan after-parties after every Anger Management Tour that featured Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri. At the same time, he worked as the head of marketing for So So Def Records when he was 19 years of age. After working for them for several years, he decided to quit and start his own marketing business.

Other than organizing events and doing marketing, Braun has also produced a number of documentaries the most famous one being “Never Say Never”. This documentary has been rated as the highest-grossing documentary up to date.
