Peter Andreas Thiel was born on October 11, 1967, in Frankfurt am Main, West Germany, to his parents Klaus Friedrich Thiel and Susanne. He and his family shifted to the United States when he was one. He changed his elementary schools seven times as Thiel’s migrated to different places including South West Africa and South Africa.
In 1977, Thiel’s settled in Foster City, California. Since childhood, Peter was excellent in mathematics.
