Steve Harvey was born on 17th January 1957, in a city of West Virginia, USA to father, Jesse Harvey, and mother, Eloise Vera. Later, they relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where he lived on a street that is now named after him. He did his schooling from Glenville High School before attending Kent State University and later West Virginia University.
Before getting into the industry, he worked as a carpet cleaner, autoworker, mailman, insurance agent and anything that would help him sustain himself.
