He was born as Terrell Eldorado Owens in 1973, December in the city of Alexander. His mother is Marilyn Heard while his father is L.C Russell. Together with his three siblings, they were only raised by his mother and grandmother. He started enjoying football at a very young age, but this was through difficulty as his grandmother would forbid him from playing with the condition that he would only start playing in high school.
He went to Benjamin Russell high school and was diversely involved in many sporting activities like basketball, baseball, track and most importantly football. Even after joining Tennessee University he did not stop playing football and was regularly selected in the school team.
