Nick Saban was born on 31st October in the year 1951 at Fairmont in West Virginia with his full name being Nicholas Lou Saban Jr. He was born to his parents Nick Lou Saban Jr. and his mother Mary Saban. He got raised up in Monongah in West Virginia. He did his higher education at Kent State University where he pursued and graduated with a bachelor’s in Business. In addition to this, he also got a master’s degree in the Sports Administration in the same university in the year 1975.

While at the university, he used to play as the defensive back for his football team in which they were coached by Don James. He is a devout Roman Catholic believer. He has been the first college coach to ever win the National Championship with Football Bowl Subdivision which is different.

Nick Saban’s successful career commenced while he was at his University from which he never had any intentions of getting into the coaching field through his then coach at Kent State University known as Don James, made Saban a graduate assistant. This was as Saban was awaiting his wife’s graduation completion.

After serving at Kent State University, Nick Saban then later went to serve as an assistant coach at Syracuse, West Virginia, the Ohio State, Navy and the Michigan State in the NCAA division. He also got hired at Houston Oilers together with Cleveland Browns in the National Football League.

He then later got hired as the head coach on 2nd December 1989 in the University of Toledo. Toledo became a co-champion in the Mid-American Conference while being guided by Saban. He then quitted after one year in which he then joined Cleveland Browns and became a defensive coordinator under Bill Belichick. He then joined Michigan State Spartans from which he served from 1995 to 1999 giving them many victories they had never had previously.

He then moved to become the head coach of Louisiana State University in the year 1999. The recorded many wins in the 2003 Southeastern Conference as well as won the BCS Championship Game. He then became the head coach of Miami Dolphins on December 2004 and later joined his current team at the University of Alabama in the year 2007.

At the University of Alabama, he has recorded much success with an overall win/loss being 122-19.
