Vincent Van Patten was born on October 17th in the year 1957, in Bellerose, New York, the United States to actor Dick Van Patten and Pat. He started to appear in several commercials when he was 9, and his family moved to Los Angeles when his father was cast in the series Arnie. He is a nephew of actress Joyce Van Patten and actor Timothy Van Patten, and actress Talia Balsam is his cousin.
He married actress Betsy Russell in 1989 and had two sons with her namely Richard and Vince Van Patten. The couple divorced in 2001 and in 2003 he married actress Eileen Davidson. The couple has since been together and is blessed with a daughter named Jesse Thomas Van Patten.
