Randy Quaid was born on October 1, 1950, in Houston, Texas, the United States. His father William Rudy Quaid was an electrician and his mother Juanita Bonniedale “Nita” was a real estate agent. Quaid spent his childhood days in Bellaire, Texas along with his younger brother Dennis Quaid, who is also an actor. Quaid developed an interest towards acting after he took drama classes in his high school. He later studied acting at the University of Houston.

Personal Life

Randy Quaid married his first wife Ella Marie Jolly, who was a model in May 1980. The couple welcomed their daughter Amanda Marie in May 1983 and later got a divorce in 1989. Randy met his second wife Evi on the sets of Bloodhounds of Broadway in 1987. The couple got married in October 1989, and their wedding was attended by Quaid’s daughter Amanda who was three years old at that time.

While Randy was studying at the University of Houston, he attended an audition for Peter Bogdanovich and got selected to play a role in his film The Last Picture Show. Bogdanovich also cast Randy in some of his other films in the future including What’s Up and Paper Moon.
