Vanessa has six siblings namely Angela Simmons, Joseph Simmons Jr, Daniel Simmons III, Russell Simmons II, Victoria Anne Simmons, and Miley Justine Simmons who have all appeared with her on the show Run’s House. She is also the niece of Def Jam Records co-founder Russell Simmons and abstract expressionist painter Danny Simmons. Vanessa attended the St. John’s University.
